JayJay+FollowI think that we need to re-evaluate a world where we are so concerned with other nations affairs but cannot take care of our own. How can we spend all this money funding other nations wars, feeding them, giving them aid but we get mad when fellow americans need help. We claim to be the greatest nation however how is it great when people are going hungry? We need to take the money we are spending worrying about other countries and worry about ourselves first. A truly great nation makes sure ALL of its citizens are taken care of as far as food and other basic necessities are concerned. There are people who do not work but get snap some of those people are elderly, disabled, were laid off their jobs, are former government employees who were laid off or people who have taken on the task of raising other peoples children.. etc There are those who actually work but simply do not make enough to survive due to the rising costs of everything in particular food, gas and rent. In my opinion most of us are one paycheck or one bad streak of luck away from being on it ourselves and we need to have empathy for others and care about each other. If we feel sorry for hungry dogs or cats we need to also feel sorry for hungry people. Mary Chavez+FollowIn my town in Texas. Food Stamp program is abused by the younger generation. I am totally against touching the Food Stamps for the elderly, but take them from everybody else under 50 yrs old. Most of these people have kids every year, because the more kids more SNAP benefits. These people have kids for business not because they love children. The women have men in their homes that have either meager jobs or they plain or not employed. I personally know a couple of persons that have 8-10 kids get over $2000.00 in SNAP. Sell $1000.00 of the Snap benefits. Use those $1000.00 for bills or beer and live on the other $1000. Plus their mates don’t work. 😡😡😡. I’m 75 yrs old I still work to make ends meet. I don’t get Medicaid or SNAP Benefits. I don’t have the priveledge of staying home in bed late like the free loaders. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk10Share
