Katie+FollowI am not here to play the blame game, we should as AMERICANS work together for solutions instead of arbitrary board opinions. For me the program helped me when I was down with kids at home. Working and going to school full time as I was trying to better support my kids. I feel as a whole the Snap program is a good benefit for those that struggle.Although it needs to have the preverbial tires kicked on it. There are those that I saw anyway that while I was buying clothes for my children at dept stores others camein wearing name brand clothes and driving nice cars. Now I don't judge because I don't know all the circumstances behind someone's life story and I have back to food banks and churches when I could after wards. But now on SSI I am troubled because I pay for Medicare on my own out of my checks so I get no hand out that many people think we do. There are many good people that need a hand up but do not need to depend on anything in life. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk23Share
Carl“CRAZYCARL#92”WilMc+FollowI grew up on welfare. That's from a baby on Detroits west side until I graduated high school. I didn’t understand its benefits until after I was a divorced single dad claiming only myself for food share and medical. I made bad decisions that I never thought I'd be humbled to think about. I was an alcoholic and i sobered up. Once I sobered up, I began seeing everything and everyone clearer than Ive ever been able to. I started changing my perspective on life and making greater decisions for my life and loved ones. I used snap as a trampoline and have made up my mind to never do anything that could personally lead me back to needing that support. I believe theres always churches, pantries, family and friends who can and will help if I ever needed a small boost. To need more than that would be psychologically demoralizing to me and my work ethic. I understand, I do not control other people. but I know I control my destiny and where I am going in life. I encourage everyone else to do the work necessary to find their own new perspectives on life and live them, one day at a time.✊🏾❤️💯 #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk01Share
NNGJLCCD+FollowWe need a return to classic requirements for snap. A cap on the allowable value of your vehicle, No home owners, no single males and a work requirement to qualify for any benefits. These benefits are for those who cannot provide for themselves not those who refuse to provide for themselves. Keep in mind things that seem outrageous to our younger population, like a 40 hour 5 day work week, are relatively new standards. Many successful people work 70 or better hours a week and if I had to choose, as I have in the past while raising my children, I would work 2 or 3 jobs to support them before I took a dime in charity. Bottom line is these programs are becoming increasingly expensive and much of it comes from abuse of the programs and absolutely no sense of self responsibility to do for yourself when ever possible #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk20Share
JosephDominicAndasola+FollowSNAP MY ONLY SOURCEsnap is my only source of getting food besides going to my doctor to get food at the food bank there that they have but that's a 45-minute drive from where I live and I can't do that everyday and even on snap I'm barely making it month to month on the food that I do get and the funds I get from snap $167 monthly doesn't go far for me because I'm on a very specific diet mostly vegetarian (vegetables and fruits, eggs, high protein and fiber drink mixes, and crystal light drink mixes that are covered under snap benefits barely last me 2-3 weeks there are days where I don't eat at all because the food doesn't last and it's only myself I live alone have no family and this doesn't cut it half the time. benefits need to be raised by whom is on the program and by dietary needs the price of fruits vegetables are way to expensive and don't last long when that's all you can eat #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk1619Share
Imjustsayin+FollowAre snap benefits fairSNAP benefits are a crucial part of many people's lives. not everybody makes enough money especially in this economy to afford to pay their bills take care of their kids and pay for food that extra money can be a godsend and the idea are they fair or not I think that depends on each individual case the idea that you have to work a minimum amount each week to qualify for them I think is a little ridiculous however the work requirements I think need to be modified because not everybody can work and I know I work and I have SNAP benefits but I don't make a ton of money I think that the government needs to quit stereotyping beneficiaries as a one type of person and judging them. #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk283Share

These people are stealing from folks who really need help and taxpayers! These people are wasting money on tattoos, foot ball games tickets, manicures and name brand fashions! People in true need should get a hand up to help them # get to the next stage of life being completely independent of outside help ! Called tough love! #SNAPBenefits #SNAPLife #SNAPTalk 15236Share
