Woman wakes up at 7.30am at Turkey hotel and is shocked by what she finds

Holidays are meant for relaxation, but one British woman’s trip to Turkey came with a surprising twist. Danielle Mason, 42, a former model turned cleaning expert, woke up at 7:30am during her stay—and stumbled upon what she described as pure “sunbed drama.”
In a video posted to TikTok, Mason revealed her disbelief at the scene unfolding before her eyes. Rows of holidaymakers were already scrambling to secure poolside loungers at an hour when most guests were still asleep. Some even appeared to be running with towels in hand, determined to claim the best spots.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she told followers. “I’ve never seen anything like it on holiday before. It was like a race!”
The clip has since sparked debate online, with viewers sharing similar stories of “sunbed wars” at resorts across Europe. Many admitted they’d also witnessed the early-morning dash, while others said they avoided it altogether by steering clear of crowded hotels.
The battle for loungers has long been a notorious part of package holidays, with some hotels even introducing rules to prevent guests from “reserving” sunbeds with towels hours before use.
For Mason, the sight was both baffling and amusing, but it highlights a broader frustration for many tourists: should holidays be about relaxation—or competition for the best poolside view?
What do you think: harmless fun, or a sign resorts need stricter rules to stop the madness?
