How do American students convert their GPA when studying in the UK?

British universities usually do not understand the GPA/GPR in the United States. Their highest score Settings and the reverse order of the scores are quite different from ours. So it is best to clearly note on the resume that 4.0 is the highest. This is especially important if your GPA is high and you don't want to be ignored. In addition, British schools are very strict in grading grades. In the United States, 80% is considered just okay, but in the UK, 80% indicates that a student is excellent. Here are the usual two sets of grade conversion tables. If you need: A+ : 90% A: 87% A- : 81% B+ : 74% B: 67% B- : 61% C+ : 54% C: 47% C- : 41% D+ : 35% D: 30% D- : 24% Another set: 80+ A+ 72-79 A 68-72 A- 65-68 B+ 62-65 B 58-62 B- 55-58 C+ 52-55 C 48-53 C- 45-48 D+ 42-45 D 40-42 D- Less than 40 is a failing grade #StudyAbroad #StudyAbroadUK #UKUniversityAdvice #CollegePrep #UniversityTips

Deferring University Acceptance: The Secret Pathway Revealed!

Ever wondered if you could hit pause on your university journey without losing your spot? Well, let me spill the beans from my own adventure! When life threw me a curveball in sunny California, I learned that most universities actually allow you to defer your acceptance—if you know the right steps. First, always pay that enrollment deposit (yes, even if you’re not sure you’ll attend right away). Then, reach out to the admissions office ASAP and brace yourself for paperwork—sometimes even a fee! Gather your proof, whether it’s a doctor’s note or a heartfelt letter. If you’re lucky, you’ll get the green light, but beware: breaking deferral rules could mean starting from scratch. 😱 Thinking about a gap year? Some schools love it, others not so much. A formal letter and a solid plan are your golden tickets. And don’t forget to double-check your financial aid—money can get lost in the shuffle! When you’re ready to return, notify admissions early, snag your housing, and check if you need to retake any tests. Did I miss any hidden hurdles? Share your tips or corrections below—let’s help each other out! 🌟 So, what’s your deferral story? Any wild twists?
