Found our cat after 2 years—but whose cat is it now??

So here’s the wildest thing that’s happened to us in years. Our cat, who we raised for 8 years and lost over two years ago, just showed up out of nowhere… staring at me from a neighbor’s porch like nothing happened. He’s got this super distinct tabby coat and a little trick where he stands up on his back legs when you pet him. I knew it was him the second I saw him. Turns out, he’d been hanging around that neighbor’s yard for a year and she’d been feeding him. She’s lovely and totally understood how crazy the moment was—she even helped us bring him home.
