This mystery black stick fell out of my shower. What is it?

My shower head just fell off last night, and this black stick thing fell out with it. I have no idea what it is. It's a small rod, maybe five inches long, and it's lighter than you'd expect. It feels a bit like metal but it scratches easily and seems to be hollow on the inside. For some reason, when I picked it up, it snapped in my hand and left a small scratch. The shower still works fine without it, so I am completely confused. I can't figure out where it's supposed to go. I am hoping someone out there knows about plumbing. I would really like to know what this thing is and if I need to get a new one. I do not want to end up with a problem down the road because I'm missing some random part. #Plumbing #DIY #HomeRepair #WhatIsThis #HelpMe #HelpNeeded #Home

Your sunroof is a ticking time bomb and you don't even know it

I had no idea this was a thing until it happened to me. The drains in your carโ€™s sunroof can get clogged with leaves and dirt. And when that happens, the water has nowhere to go but inside your car. I am talking about a complete disaster. Water can leak all over your seats, short out your electronics, and ruin your interior. It is an absolute nightmare that costs a ton of money to fix. Turns out, you can prevent this whole thing. It is a super easy DIY fix. You just need to check your sunroof drains once a year and clean them out with a vacuum or a brush. Seriously, a little bit of work can save you a huge repair bill. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I feel like this should be common knowledge but I honestly didn't know about this before. #CarMaintenance #DIY #CarRepair #Sunroof #WaterDamage #MoneySaving #LifeHacks #Cars

My house has become a drainage nightmare

We bought our dream homes, but they have quickly turned into a living nightmare. Every time it rains, our front yards turn into disgusting, mosquito-infested swamps. The so-called "swales" that were supposed to drain the water just fill up like little ponds. We've reached out to the home builder a dozen times, but they just act like it's no big deal and refuse to do anything. We even went to the county, but they just say their hands are tied. It feels like we have been completely abandoned. We poured our savings into these houses, and now we're left with this mess. We've tried everything we can think of, but we are out of options and out of hope. We just feel so defeated. I am begging for any advice from anyone who has gone through something like this before. What did you do to fix it? ๐Ÿ˜ญ #HomeownerProblems #DrainageDesign #DIY #HomeImprovement #AskForHelp #HelpNeeded #Home #HomeMaintenance

HOW TO MAKE A POM POM RUG THE EASY WAY โ€“ ITโ€™S SO FLUFFY!

๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿงต How to Make a Pom Pom Rug the Easy Way! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿงต ๐Ÿ’ก The trick to making pom poms four times faster is all in how you wind the yarn around the pom pom maker. Use multiple strands of yarn simultaneously to speed up the process even more. ๐ŸŽจ Materials & Tools: - Three different colors of yarn for the flower pattern - Yellow yarn for the centers - Cotton yarn for contrast - Scissors - Large pom pom maker (highly recommended for time-saving) ๐Ÿงถ Choosing the Right Yarn: - The thickness of the yarn determines the look and the time required. - A bulky-thickness yarn (size 5) gives a fluffy look and speeds up the process. - Avoid chunky yarn if you want a rug that's easy to walk on. ๐Ÿงถ Pom Pom Count: - The rug requires 15 skeins of yarn and about 125 pom poms. - Each skein makes approximately nine 2.5-inch pom poms. ๐Ÿ” Backing Options: - The honeycomb-style rug backing is recommended for its spots to attach the pom poms, padding, and non-slip features. - Adding a second layer of rug backing reinforces the rug and enhances longevity. โฐ Tips for Making Pom Poms: - Use a pom pom maker or DIY with toilet paper rolls or cardboard tubes. - Wind more than one strand of yarn simultaneously. - Trim pom poms with sharp scissors for a clean look. ๐Ÿ› Care Instructions: - Use washable acrylic yarn or ensure 100% washable yarn is used. - Tie the pom pom strings tightly to prevent them from coming apart during washing. - Protect the rug in a covering and lay it flat to dry. โ—๏ธ Considerations: - Pom poms are fluffy but the centers can be hard. - Fluffier pom poms with tight ties make for a less comfortable walking surface. - The rug is better suited for decorative use rather than heavy walking areas. ๐Ÿถ Fun Fact: - The fluffy rug may attract pets! Keep an eye on them to prevent the pom poms from being detached. ๐ŸŒผ Happy pom-pom making! ๐ŸŒผ #DIY #PomPomRug #Crafting #PomPomMaker #YarnCraft #Decor #FluffyRugs #Handmade #HomeDecor #Creative
