Why Humility Makes Life SO Much Better!

Let’s be real—humility isn’t always easy, but it’s SO worth it. I’ve learned that being humble isn’t about pretending I’m not good at anything. It’s about being real, grateful, and open to growth. Here’s how I try to keep myself grounded (and sane!) every day: • I remind myself I’m not too good for anything—no task is beneath me 🙈 • I practice gratitude, even for the tough stuff. It’s made me way more optimistic! • I accept I’m not the best at everything (and that’s okay!) • I try to give credit to others whenever I can—teamwork makes the dream work, right? • I listen more than I talk (still working on this one 😅) • I own my mistakes and apologize when I mess up • I avoid bragging—let my actions speak for themselves • I volunteer and do kind things, even if no one’s watching ❤️ Humility isn’t about shrinking yourself. It’s about growing, learning, and lifting others up. Trust me, life feels lighter this way! #humility #selfgrowth #gratitude #Education

Cherish every moment – A heartbreaking reminder

Easter weekend, I (31M) lost my fiancée (28F) to an overdose. She relapsed after nearly two years while visiting her family. In just hours, I lost everything that mattered—her, our plans, and the life we were building together. Her 5-year-old son, who she adored, is now living with his grandmother over six hours away. Her dog was sent to a shelter because my apartment doesn’t allow pets. I stayed with her and her son 99% of the time for the past year, and now, I’m back in my apartment, which feels so strange after being with them for so long. I miss the little things—cooking for three, bath time, bedtime hugs, and even just walking the dog. I miss her voice, her laughter, and the future we planned. It’s a harsh reminder that life can change in an instant. Please, don’t go to bed angry. Don’t leave each other without making up. Say “I love you” often and live in the moment. You never know when it might be your last. She used to say, “Why the rush? We have our whole lives.” Now, I realize how true that is. Don’t wait—live every day to the fullest. #Loss #Heartbreak #CherishTheMoment #LoveAndLoss #Gratitude #RomanticRelationships

“Dogs never bark at people who give them food or are affectionate towards them.”

Every morning, when my father left for his office, a whole pack of five or six stray dogs would follow him down the street. I used to stand outside our small one room house and just watch them, always wondering what it was about him that made them do that. These dogs barked at everyone else. Seriously, every single person who walked by would get barked at. But the moment my father appeared, they would fall completely silent. It was amazing to see. “Dogs never bark at people who give them food or are affectionate towards them.” He once told me that. Such a simple sentence. I did not truly understand the deeper meaning of what he said until many years later. You should never leave or forget someone who has helped you through your difficult times. #LifeLessons #FamilyStories #ChildhoodMemories #Gratitude #UnconditionalLove #PersonalStory

Despite the broken relationship and all the chaos, I still have zero regrets about having a child

I have a son with a woman who once thought I was far wealthier than I actually was. Sadly that misunderstanding was not even the most difficult part of being with her. I tried to stay for my son’s sake but eventually it just was not possible. I switched to weekends only and when her drinking and smoking finally caught up with her I was able to take him full time when he was 9. Since then he has been the brightest part of my life. He is respectful, kind, and grateful for everything I do for him. He is 15 now and we have both the father and son relationship as well as a close friendship. If I had the power to design sons for everyone he is exactly what I would choose. I cannot imagine life without him. Nothing could ever make me regret being his father. It is the single best thing that has ever happened to me and I am thankful every day for it. Any other parents out there feel the same way about their kids. *** What a simple yet touching story. Be honest, have you ever regretted having children? #Parenting #ParentingJourney #Fatherhood #FamilyLife #Gratitude #LifeLessons #FamilyStories #FamilyRelationships #FamilyFirst
