which pet is actually perfect for a 5 year old kid?

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting a pet for my 5-year-old, but I’m kinda lost. There are so many cute options out there, but I want something that’s not too much work and safe for little hands. Do you guys have any favorites? I’ve heard guinea pigs are sweet, but are they easy to care for? Or should I stick with a fish or maybe a small dog? I’d love to hear what worked for your family.
