I Counted Every Spoonful, Still Wanted More

I used to think the answer was simple: just don’t buy ice cream. Walk past the freezer aisle, close the app, say no. But the craving never lived in the freezer. It was in the silence after dinner, the empty space between my ribs, the ache that said I’d earned something sweet. I tried banana swirls, protein shakes, measuring out half-cups like it was a test. I told myself it was about health, about control. But it was always about guilt. Every bite was a negotiation: do I deserve this? Will I regret it? Sometimes I wonder if I ever really wanted ice cream, or if I just wanted permission to stop fighting myself. #FoodGuilt #ControlIsExhausting #NotJustAboutTheScale #Health #Diet
