Hey friends, I could really use your advice. Iām turning 65 in September and planning to retire at the end of the month. I work at a mid-sized auto parts plant in Texas, and Iām the only CAD designer in our small engineering team. The companyās been great to me, and I donāt want to leave them scrambling to fill my spot. Iāve actually got someone in mind for my replacementāheās a former coworker who already knows most of the ropes. But I havenāt told my boss or HR anything yet, and Iām stressing about the right time to break the news. Six months feels too long, but I donāt want to leave them in a bind either. I remember how tough it was when I started, and I want to make the transition as smooth as possible. How much notice did you give when you retired? Any tips for making this easier? Iām really torn and could use some guidance! š #RetirementAdvice #WorkplaceTransition #CareerQuestions #JobCareer #Career
