The Diet Was Supposed to Fix Everything

I read about the Atlantic Diet—how it’s supposed to help with all the things I worry about: blood sugar, cholesterol, the silent threats I can’t see but feel anyway. I tried to follow it perfectly. Fresh fish, beans, olive oil, the right kind of bread. I weighed every portion, even the cheese. But every meal still felt like a test. I’d finish dinner and stare at my plate, wondering if I’d done enough, or too much. The numbers on the scale barely moved, but my mind never stopped calculating. I thought eating this way would make me feel safe in my body. Mostly, it just made me tired of thinking about food. #FoodGuilt #ControlIsExhausting #NotJustAboutTheScale #Health #Diet
