I Ate Avocado Instead of Butter. I Still Felt Empty.

Dinner was a salad with avocado—because it’s supposed to be good for me. I mashed it, spread it, told myself it was healthy fat, not a cheat. But as I ate, I wasn’t thinking about nutrients. I was counting. Calories, grams, how many bites until I could stop. The avocado was creamy, but it didn’t fill the part of me that’s always hungry. Not for food, but for something softer, less measurable. Everyone says avocados are a superfood. I wish I could believe that eating them would make me feel whole. Instead, I finish my plate and wonder if I’ll ever stop feeling like I’m just performing health, not living it. #FoodGuilt #ControlIsExhausting #NotJustAboutTheScale #Health #Diet
