Why I Counted Every Gram of Fiber

I used to track everything—calories, steps, grams of protein, and yes, even fiber. I told myself it was about health, but really, it was about control. I’d stand in the grocery aisle, phone in hand, scrolling through labels. Twenty-three grams. Twenty-eight. Never enough. I’d feel proud if I hit the number, but mostly, I felt tired.
