Vicki Chang+FollowNeighbor left this on my door but I do not have a dog😥I live alone and don’t have a dog, so this note was a bit of a surprise. I’m usually gone for 12+ hours a day, and when I am home on weekends or at night, I never hear any barking. I left the note on the door with a reply saying it was the wrong apartment and also notified the office. My next-door neighbor says they haven’t heard anything either. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s going on here. #ApartmentLiving #ApartmentLife #DidThatHappen 957649Share
Margaret Mooney DVM+FollowSomeone on the 5th floor is on the wanted listI was just trying to get home today when I ran into this. Apparently one of my neighbors has smoked weed in their apartment and the rest of the floor has finally reached their breaking point. I usually try to stay out of building drama, but seeing this taped up in the lobby definitely made my afternoon a lot more interesting. #ApartmentLiving #NeighborhoodDrama #PassiveAggressive #StoryTime 00Share
Margaret Mooney DVM+FollowI think my neighbor died days ago ...I live in a small 4 unit building and things have been really heavy here lately. One of my neighbors went missing five days ago and yesterday the whole lot was full of police cars and the county medical examiner. They took all of our info but wouldn't say a word besides confirming he was reported missing. It seems pretty obvious what happened since the medical examiner was there but nobody has come by to clean anything up and it has been over 24 hours now. I saw him right before he vanished when he was putting a tarp on his car for the snow and that tarp hasn't moved an inch. The lights are on in his place tonight but there are no other cars around so I suspect he might have been in there for days before they found him. Rent is due today and we just got an elusive new landlord who nobody really knows yet. I am a first-time renter and I don’t know how any of this works, so I’m wondering if I should contact the landlord to ask about it or if someone has already told him. I am so sorry if this seems insensitive, but he was a really nice guy and I am just really struggling to process all of this. #neighbor #community #advice #renting #apartmentliving #sad 20Share

Margaret Mooney DVM+FollowLiving around kids is a massive test of my patience! The noise levels from the kids in my building have reached a point where I can't even relax in my own space. Between the constant running in the unit above me and the screaming in the hallways, it feels like I’m living in a playground. I understand that kids need to be kids, but it seems like there’s zero effort from the parents to manage the volume. Has anyone successfully handled this without making things awkward, or is moving to the top floor the only real fix? #ApartmentLiving #NoisePollution #NeighborIssues #RentalLife 10Share
Timothy Curry MD+FollowMy neighbor’s alarm is waking me up at 4:30 AM and they just sleep through it.Every single morning between 4:30 and 5:00 AM, my neighbor’s alarm starts going off right against our shared wall. It’s this incredibly annoying, high-pitched "ding ding" sound mixed with a loud vibration that I can feel through the wall. The worst part is they clearly don't hear it, because it usually blares for a solid 20 to 30 minutes before it finally stops. By the time they actually wake up, I've been lying there wide awake and frustrated for half an hour. I feel like a crazy person just staring at the ceiling listening to it, but I’m not sure how to bring it up since everyone technically has the right to set an alarm. I left a note on his door yesterday since I figured he wasn't home to turn it off, even though I could hear him talking inside at the time. The alarm woke me up again this morning anyway, and I noticed the note is still untouched on his door. It turns out he's just a massive heavy sleeper who is genuinely oblivious to the noise. I’m just hoping he actually reads it soon and tries to be more considerate. #ApartmentLiving #NoiseIssues #SleepDeprived #NeighborProblems 00Share
Michael Carr+FollowMy bathroom ceiling tile has been movedI’m the only person who’s been home all day, took a bath today as well and did NOT notice that, but I DID hear strange rustling coming from the ceiling when I was in there but I kinda brushed it off cause I didn’t want to scare myself.. I’m on the top floor but I thought maybe they were doing something with the roofing or something. Few hours later I go in to fix my hair and I see the tile completely misplaced. BROOO WHAT IS THIS ??? Did RATS do this or is there someone living and crawling in there. Idk.. #ApartmentLiving #WeirdFinds #NeedHelp 32Share
Thomas Clark+FollowShould I be worried about this ceiling crack? 🤯I live in an older 3-story wood frame building, and I’ve noticed the popcorn ceiling in the hallway is starting to crack more and more. A new horizontal crack just showed up recently. Honestly, this looks awful... Should I call someone or maybe even move out? 😦😦😦 #HomeMaintenance #CeilingCracks #HomeSafety #ApartmentLiving 3139Share
Thomas Clark+Follow😤 My neighbor is running an illegal airbnb. How to secretly report him without coming off as a complete snitch?I was on Airbnb looking for a specific accessible rental for my aunt and grandma when I found a listing for a unit in my own 250-unit rental building. This is a 1000% violation of our lease agreement and it makes my blood boil. We are all renters here and this is not a condo community. I hate Airbnb with a burning passion because it actively destroys local housing markets and makes apartments much more expensive for people who actually need to live here. It is not "mind your own business" it is corporate greed making our lives worse. I only used the site because my grandma is elderly and needed a house with specific accessibility for her vehicle. The guy is not my immediate neighbor above or below, so I do not know him personally. I absolutely want to report this to management and get this unit back into the actual housing pool. I desperately need advice on how to report him to the leasing office without coming off as a complete snitch. #RentingSucks #HousingCrisis #Airbnb #LeaseViolation #ApartmentLiving #SnitchLife #MoralDilemma #Home 6896Share
Thomas Woods+FollowMy neighbor’s weed smell keeps filling my bathroomI live in Delaware and just found out the smell is not something the building will deal with since smoking weed is legal now. The problem is the smell comes through what I think is a shared bathroom duct. Some days it is so strong I feel like I’m standing in their living room while they light up. I am thinking about sliding a note under their door to let them know. I wrote one that is polite and not accusing them of anything but I’m not sure if it will come across the wrong way. Has anyone tried this before and actually gotten a good outcome? #WeedSmell #NeighborProblems #ApartmentLiving #NeedAdvice #Delaware #WeedTrends #House 116124Share
