To that question, here’s my answer -- money can never beat family.

I saw that post from logan50 asking which is more important, money or family. For me, money and family are both important, but definitely not equally. Family is an amazing gift. It is living with other people who are a part of your heart. It's going through ups and downs, laughing and crying together. Having a loving and caring family is one of the greatest blessings a person can have. Now, money. Money can buy you a house, food, clothes, a car, jewelry, and furniture. It can give you happiness and a sense of security. I will agree with that. But let me show you something. A little way from my home there is a road where people live in poverty. They don't have proper houses and maybe only get one good meal a day. Small children play on the sidewalk. But at lunchtime, when they all sit together and eat from one plate, I see the parents' beaming faces. They are feeding their children, laughing as they try to get them to sit still. They never show any sign of unhappiness or exhaustion. Money is an essential part of life. But it is not everything. Family is. #MoneyVsFamily #FamilyIsEverything #Perspective #LifeLessons #Discussion #Poverty #Love #Blessings #FamilyFirst

I Think I Might Ruin My Social Life By Joining the HOA.

We moved into a new community with an HOA last year. Since we had never lived with one before, my spouse joked that if you can't beat them, join them. So I ended up as the Vice President of the board. Now here is the weird part. Since I joined the board, we have not enforced a single rule. Seriously. I have not said a word to anyone. But now, it feels like half the street avoids me. They will have block parties and social events and I never even find out about them. I feel completely excluded. My spouse thinks it is because I am on the HOA board. But I do not understand that. How can just having the title make me an outcast. It is not like I am a rule-enforcing tyrant. I am curious to hear if anyone has experienced anything like this. #HOA #NeighborhoodDrama #SocialLife #Community #Ostracized #HelpNeeded #Discussion #Advice #SocialAnxiety

I KNEW I was not that bad at racing games!! The AI is just cheating!

Have you ever been playing a racing game and you are in the lead but somehow the car behind you just flies right by like you are standing still? Or maybe you hit the wall and you instantly go from first to last place. It always feels like the computer cars are just playing by different rules. Well, it turns out our feelings are right!! I saw this video that showed the hidden data in an old game called Sega GT. The game has a system that secretly gives cars a power boost based on their position. The cars at the back get a huge boost while the ones in front get slowed down. It's designed to keep races close and exciting. That's so annoying. I will spend an hour trying to get a perfect lap with a perfect racing line only to have some random AI car slam into me at the last second and then just speed away. It makes you wonder what the point of practicing and getting better is if the game is just going to rig it against you. #Gaming #RacingGames #GamingSecrets #CheatingAI #VideoGames #Discussion #Unfair #SegaGT #Cars

What's your favorite German car? 😎

If you know me you probably think my favorite German car is the G-Wagen. But that is too easy. I had to think about it for a minute and the answer is absolutely the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR. This was a race car from the late 90s that was so successful they had to make a few road legal versions for normal people. It had a massive V12 engine and a body that was just pure race car. It took on giants like Porsche and McLaren and dominated its class. It is one of the coolest cars ever made. What really made me love this car was playing it in a video game called Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2. I would always pick that car for a race. It is so iconic to me. Wanna to know what your favorite German car is and why you love it! #CarEnthusiast #MercedesBenz #CLKGTR #Supercar #NeedForSpeed #GermanCars #CarCulture #Discussion #Cars

Micromobility Isn't A Problem In Cities, It's A Solution! 🚴

E-bikes and electric scooters are becoming more popular in our cities and for good reason. They are affordable, efficient, and way better for dense urban environments than big cars. But a lot of people see roads as being for cars only. This is creating a challenge for lawmakers as new faster e-bikes are pushing the boundaries of our laws. The biggest issue is mixing slow traditional bikes with fast e-bikes and even faster cars. Data shows that car drivers are willing to switch to micromobility if they feel safe. A great solution seems to be sacrificing some car lanes for a high speed bike lane. It would solve the problem of co-mingling and make everyone safer. They already do this in some places and it has been a huge success. Giving up car lanes for bikes would get more people riding. It would also help to naturally limit carbon emissions. As a cycling enthusiast, I'm all for these changes anyway 😎 #Micromobility #UrbanPlanning #TrafficLaws #Ebikes #ElectricScooters #CityLife #Transportation #Environment #Discussion

Doctors office is forcing me to pay a $300 annual fee, and won’t offer a referral if I say no

Will be dropped as a patient in 30 days. I am dealing with this pretty wild situation right now. They said they will not offer a referral if I say no to the fee and I learned that refusing a referral is actually an illegal practice -- They are legally required to give written notice and adequate time before they can drop a patient. What's crazy is that the fee itself is probably legal. But, their refusal to offer a referral is not. I have been reading that a lot of private health clinics are really struggling right now. Many are close to bankruptcy because insurance companies delay payments for so long sometimes up to a year. It really puts a lot of pressure on them just to keep the doors open. It seems like the flashy old days of doctors making a ton of money are long gone. Nowadays many doctors especially general practitioners are not doing as well as people think they are with all the student loans and new regulations. I know I can find a new primary care doctor on my own without a referral. I just have to find one in my network and let my insurance company know I want to change...makes you wonder how all of this is going to end. #Healthcare #DoctorsOffice #AnnualFee #MedicalFrustrations #PatientRights #MedicalBills #InsuranceNightmares #MoneyTalks #Discussion #Health

What happened to 3rd spaces? a Meijer parking lot, a coffee shop, or a 24/7 diner

Back when I was younger, there was always a place to go when you didn’t want to be at home but weren’t at work or school. Sometimes it was a Meijer parking lot where half the town seemed to show up, other times it was a coffee shop or a 24/7 diner where you could sit for hours with friends, drink endless coffee and just hang out. These days I leave the house, look for somewhere to land, and it feels like there is nothing. Teens and young adults do not seem to be gathering the way they used to. Maybe it is just me noticing, but the sense of those casual meet-up spots feels like it has disappeared. #CommunityLife #Nostalgia #SocialSpaces #LifeChanges #Discussion #RetroVibes #PublicSpaces #Millennials
