Manuel Bright+FollowHunting plans crushed by one unlucky tire disaster 🫠Thinking back to one of my most frustrating hunts ever… it started with a blown truck tire. A few miles later, the trailer lost one. Threw on the spare—another one gone. By Friday night, we were stuck waiting until Monday for the tire shop, only to find they didn’t have trailer tires. Ended up driving 100 miles to get them. Decided the spot wasn’t worth it, and on the way home—yep, another truck tire blew. Trip over before it even began. Sometimes the real hunt is just making it home in one piece. Ever had a trip completely fall apart because of gear trouble? #hunting #HuntingFails #Outdoors 121Share
bushjill+FollowHiked 3 hours uphill to hunt and brought wrong rounds...Ever hiked 3 hours uphill for a hunt… only to realize your ammo doesn’t fit your rifle? Yep, that happened. A shop mix-up gave me .308 instead of 6.5 Creedmoor. By the time I figured it out, the stag was gone. Had to hike out, drive home, reload, and do it all again… only to find nothing. Lesson learned: always double-check your gear! #hunting #huntingfails #ammocheck #Outdoors21Share
lolson+FollowWore winter hunting boots in June - big mistake! 🥵Tried wearing my insulated winter boots on a summer scouting trip—huge mistake. My feet were cooked, soaked, and sore after just a few miles. That’s when I realized: summer hunting boots aren’t optional. Lightweight, breathable, and waterproof makes all the difference when you’re on your feet in the heat. What boots do you guys swear by for summer scouting or early-season hunts? #hunting #huntingboots #summerhunting #scouting #huntingfails21Share
mmoore+FollowThat winchester almost cost me my season 💔Still thinking about last year's disaster. Final day, perfect doe at 25 yards, and my "reliable" used Winchester gave me nothing but a click. Light primer strike - probably should've tested that firing pin spring in cold weather first. Walked out empty-handed while replaying that moment over and over. Taught me never to trust used gear without putting it through hell first. Anyone else had their rifle betray them at the worst possible moment? #hunting #huntingfails #winchester #huntinggear6887Share
paulcarol+FollowMy kaibab hunt was a comedy of errors 💩Drew that coveted late hunt tag back in '03 and everything went sideways. Day one, passed on a gorgeous 4x4 thinking I'd find better. Spoiler alert: I didn't. Then our makeshift camp toilet collapsed mid-business. Fell right into my own mess 😅 Took an entire roll of TP to recover my dignity. Next morning brought 18 inches of fresh snow and my boot sole completely separated, flooding my foot with slush. Spent three days hunting in sneakers. Final day, same buck reappeared at 409 yards. Missed low. Tag soup for dinner. Sometimes the hunting gods humble you real quick. What's your most disaster-filled hunt? 🤦♂️ #hunting #kaibabhunt #huntingfails #Outdoors 3313Share
lolson+Followfrom lost tags to a busted buck—my worst hunt yetOne season, I had a day where everything went wrong 😅. My jacket—with my license and tags—slipped off the 4-wheeler. While backtracking to look for it, I drove straight into a ditch. After dragging the wheeler out, I realized my rifle had been knocked way out of zero. Headed to my stand… only to find it stolen. Ended up perched in a cedar, just in time to get busted by a nice buck. All of this happened on private land. Ever had one of those hunts where disaster just snowballs? 🤦♂️ #hunting #gearcheck #huntingfails #buckhunting #Outdoors152Share
