David Hernandez+FollowHow a Texas road trip helped me process griefCrossing Texas by car isn’t just about covering miles—it’s about giving your heart and mind space to breathe. On a recent drive from Louisiana to El Paso for a family funeral, I found comfort in the changing landscapes. East Texas, lush and noisy, mirrored the chaos of fresh grief, while the wide-open skies of West Texas felt honest and soothing. Unexpected stops, like a stunning hotel in Big Spring, reminded me that beauty can pop up in the most unlikely places. Sometimes, slowing down and letting the journey unfold is exactly what we need to heal. Has a road trip ever helped you process something big? #Health #BodyHealth #TexasRoadTrip00Share
Kimberly Parker+FollowCheck your breasts. Don't wait, and don't take "fine" for an answer.Yesterday was honestly one of the hardest days I’ve had yet. Even though my annual physical in August, including the breast exam, was totally clear, I noticed a small lump—like a long green bean—right before Thanksgiving. The earliest appointment was miles away in January, but I called repeatedly until I snagged a cancellation for yesterday. I ended up getting an ultrasound, my very first mammogram, and then they immediately rolled me into a same-day biopsy. I’m now waiting until the end of next week for the pathology results. If you feel anything at all, push back and keep calling until you get seen. I’m spending the weekend snuggling my dog and watching terrible Christmas movies to stay sane. Drop your trashy movie recommendations below, please. #Health #BreastHealth #BreastCancer 22Share
